Types of Clothing Tags & Labels

1. By Material & Structure

• Woven Labels

   

  Made from polyester, satin, or damask.

   

  Used for: brand logos, size, care symbols.

   

  Durable, high-end feel, sewn into neck/side seam.
   
• Printed Labels

   

  Printed on cotton tape, satin, or ribbon.

   

  Softer, cheaper, used for size, care, country of origin.
   
• Heat Transfer Labels (Tagless Labels)

   

  Printed directly onto the garment with heat.

   

  No physical tag—soft, comfortable, common in sportswear, underwear.
   
• Paper Tags / Hang Tags

   

  Cardboard or thick paper attached by string/pin.

   

  Shows: brand, price, barcode, size, material, marketing info.
   
• Leather / PU / Denim Patches

   

  Stitched onto jeans, jackets, bags.

   

  For branding, heavy-duty look.
   
• Rubber / Silicone Labels

   

  Flexible, waterproof.

2. By Function

• Brand Labels (Main Labels)

   

  Show logo/brand name, usually at the back neck.
   
• Size Labels

   

  Indicate S/M/L/XL or numeric sizes (36, 38, etc.).
   
• Care Labels

   

  Show washing, drying, ironing, bleaching instructions.
